The unbroken bones

In case you’re wondering ….. Why Unbroken Bones?

Well This is about Israel and a Christian perspective on the workings of the purposes of God in some of the Covenantal Dispositions which He has made. There is, throughout history, (and before and after), a clear, “Pathway of purpose”, of God which is immutable. It has its beginning and and eternal outcome, which cannot be displaced. The unbreakable bones of the promises. There is also in the same promises, flesh which from time to time is stripped away. Ezekiel 47, “The Valley of Dry Bones”, “Can these Bones Live?”, is an example which will be in here later, as will, “The Passover”, narrative and, The Crucifixion”.

However, the point of what I am writing is to take a look at the transition between the covenant(s) with Israel and the Church. I am a Christian and so what I say will be from a Christian perspective. I am not a, “Replacement Theologian”, although I have been called that on a number of occasions, but I will be insisting that the death of Jesus and His resurrection did not simply pass by for Israel without some, “Fulfilment”, (re-fleshing) of the promise and some, “Replacement”, (e.g. the branches in the olive tree in Romans 11).

I heard from one antagonist that Jesus was anti-semitic. Whilst not wishing to start with a defence, none of what I say will even tolerate that idea. Jesus is God’s rescue plan for the whole of humanity, first the Jew and then the Gentile, therefore sin and salvation are owned by all and all are joined in the consequences and benefits including the outcome, through faith in Jesus.
